Description
Six proud nutcrackers, each holding a plaque for a name. My Nutcracker Name Tags are stitched completely in the hoop: the embroidery, a fabric back and a neat satin edge, so the back looks as tidy as the front. A matching stand is ironed or glued to the back of each tag, so your nutcrackers stand up on their own.
How to use
These nutcrackers are Christmas table seating tags, or place cards, so every guest knows where to sit. Stitch each guest's name on a nutcracker and set it at their place setting. The stand holds a Ferrero Rocher or a similar small treat, a little gift waiting at every seat.
Add a name on your machine or in your embroidery software, then set them out as place cards on the Christmas table, tie them onto gifts, or line them up under the tree. I stitched mine on heavy-weight canvas.

You will need:
- Stabiliser: cut-away, tear-away or water-soluble
- Heavy-weight fabric such as canvas for the front, the back and the stand
- Temporary spray adhesive
- Appliqué paper, fabric glue or a hot glue gun to attach the stand
- A sewing machine with a zigzag stitch to join the stand pieces
Names: the plaques are left empty so you can add your own names. Any font with a letter height of about 12 to 15 mm works; I used my SDS1116 Footlight Font.
