Description
Create a stunning heirloom-style medallion quilt with Gilded Elegance, an in-the-hoop quilt design featuring intricate feather, floral and geometric quilting in a beautiful central medallion.
The quilt is assembled from 9 individually quilted blocks, using just 5 unique designs. The corner and side blocks are simply turned into position during layout, so there is no need to rotate or mirror designs in your embroidery machine.
Designed for 6x6, 7x7 and 8x8 inch hoops, Gilded Elegance can be finished with your own choice of colours and fabrics. The sample combines cream fabric with gold/beige quilting, rich royal blue borders, a blue-and-gold floral pieced border and gold binding.
The blocks are quilted directly in the hoop, trimmed to size and then joined with a ¼-inch seam allowance before the borders and binding are added.
