SDS3424 Christmas Tag Nutcracker

Bring a little festive charm to your tree, your gifts and your keys with this Nutcracker In-the-Hoop Christmas Tag from our Christmas Tag Collection.

This individual embroidery design creates a charming vinyl tag featuring a classic nutcracker soldier in a tall red and black hat with a gold crest, a red coat with gold shoulder trim, a silver-gray beard and a curled mustache. He is framed by pine sprigs, holly and red berries, topped with a red bow and set on a soft gold star pattern inside a decorative scalloped border. The tag is stitched completely in the hoop: the front, the backing and the final outline. Afterward you only cut it out and set an eyelet.

The design includes illustrated step-by-step instructions to guide you through creating the finished tag, making it an enjoyable project for embroiderers of all skill levels.

This design is available in one size, specially designed to fit a 4" x 4" embroidery hoop. The design is turned 45° in the file so the whole tag fits the hoop, and once cut out it hangs upright as usual.

What You'll Need:

Cut-away stabilizer
White or cream vinyl or pleather for the front and the back (at least 4¾" x 4¾" / 12 x 12 cm each)
Temporary spray adhesive (505)
A metal eyelet (8–10 mm) and a hole punch or setting tool
Ribbon or a key ring
Embroidery thread (see the included color chart)
Optional: heavy-weight stabilizer for a stiffer tag, and water-soluble topping for soft pleather
