SDS3467 Christmas Tag Cardinal

Bring a little festive charm to your tree, your gifts and your keys with this Cardinal In-the-Hoop Christmas Tag from the Christmas Tag Collection.

This individual embroidery design creates a delightful vinyl tag featuring a red cardinal perched on a branch with holly leaves and red berries, topped with a red bow and framed by a decorative scalloped border. The tag is stitched completely in the hoop: the front, the backing and the final outline. Afterwards you only cut it out and set an eyelet.

The design includes illustrated step-by-step instructions to guide you through creating the finished tag, making it an enjoyable project for embroiderers of all skill levels.

This design is available in one size, specially designed to fit a 4" x 4" embroidery hoop. The design is turned 45° in the file so the whole tag fits the hoop, and once cut out it hangs upright as usual.

What You'll Need:

Cut-away stabiliser
White or cream vinyl or pleather for the front and the back (at least 4¾" x 4¾" / 12 x 12 cm each)
Temporary spray adhesive (505)
A metal eyelet (8–10 mm) and a hole punch or setting tool
Ribbon or a key ring
Embroidery thread (see the included colour chart)
Optional: heavy-weight stabiliser for a stiffer tag, and water-soluble topping for soft pleather
