Heritage:
One of the oldest patchwork units in quilting. The repeated triangle shapes resemble a flock of geese flying across the sky. Quilters often used it to represent travel westward and life's journeys.
Origin: 1800s America
Fun Fact: Some historians believe Flying Geese blocks appeared in quilts carried west during pioneer expansion.
