Inspired by my love of travel, this is my second World Map design (checkout my first map here), created in a slightly smaller format that makes it ideal for decorating an office desk, sewing room, or framing as a beautiful wall piece behind glass.
The central elements — the World Map lettering, elegant scroll, and detailed compass frame at the bottom — shine beautifully when stitched in metallic gold. I used Queen Monrex metallic gold thread for these accents, while the corner ornaments were stitched with Marathon gold tones. The continents were finished in a soft light silver, creating a lovely contrast that highlights the map’s intricate details.
