As an example I stitched them onto some shopping bags I had laying around, the shopping bags are made of spunbond fabric which act as it's own stabilizer since they have absolutely no stretch and stitched like a dream! What's more is when you match your bobbin fabric with the colour of the bag then you can hardly see any stitching on the inside.
